Airman Flight School would be my suggestion. I had no regrets when I did my I/II there once upon a time ago. They have it down to a science and will get you in and out in a very short period of time. You will probably even get it done "cheaper" versus going the WMU route, I would assume but may be incorrect with that assumption. I would steer clear from American Flyers, ATP's, haven't heard many good things about them in recent times.

It doesn't really matter where you get it since in reality you will be able to use it anywhere.

good luck

Some of the best years of my life were spent in Kazo; Waldos, Coral Gables, Wayside West and East........Ahhhhhhhhhh the memories.:)

Too bad they moved the flight school, I can see why though, half the enrollees are still in rehab 20 years later.

CFI at WMU v. CFI at elsewhere

I most likely will get my CFI at WMU, which will take about two months. After that I hope to instruct at WMU . . . .
I dunno the political situation at your school, but I am a former ERAU instructor and would bet the situtation is similar. I can tell you that Riddlers who obtained their CFIs in-house had a big hiring advantage over Riddlers who obtained them elsewhere. For that reason, despite the cold, you should give major consideration to earning your CFI at your college.

Good luck with the rest of your training.

Airman Flight School in Norman, OK

you can have your CFI/I in 3 weeks. Half is done part 141, half is part 61. No FSDO checkride, just the check-airman and a DPE. Good staff, good price...$5000 guarenteed.
KNOW UR SH!T before you go...take all your writtens BEFORE you go...it is a cfi/cfii mill !!!!! they are very good at what they do just be prepared and get some time in the right seat before you go and if you can get some time in the rg it will help out immensely!!!!
