The gf and I were talking last night and she tells me she has my birthday present already taken care of and asked if I wanted to know what it was. I said "SURE!" hoping for her in some cute neglige or something like that. Boy was I surprised to find out she went one step better and got me an aerobatics ride w/ Bill Leff in his T-6.

I'm still smilin this morning!

You're in deep, man. We're talikng roses, jewelry, expensive dinners, and some serious muff-diving.

(No, I can't believe I said that either... )

She's a keeper. She's even more so if she went to the airport with you!

Congrats dude on the b-day.
Bottoms up to us. Mine is today also, and although I surely appreaciate any little thing that comes my way, way down inside I'm hoping for something along those lines (she got me a glider flight 2 years ago). I ended up with 2 guns n roses DVDs and a new watch.

HAHAHA

She'll go to the airport but that's about as far as she'll go. She gets carsick when we do road rallies, nfw she will handle aerobatics. Maybe someday I'll be able to get her up in a plane smaller than the QE2. Maybe I can talk her into the Aztec if I tell her it's the only way to get to Disney. :)

Serious diving?

With a woman who buys you an airplane ride, I'd go ahead and buy the "diver down" flag!!!

(Or would that be a "diver up" flag?)

I'd give it about 10 minutes before one of the guys (avbug or hugh jorgan, maybe) comes in here in preaching the merits of living a life without a woman at your side, and all the agony that awaits you after you walk down the aisle.

Just wait and see....

they change

They all change...

Last year, before I got married I got:
Set of cleveland TA-5 irons
Suzuki Motorcycle
Adams Driver
Various other small things..

This year, since I've been married...........nothing..

Nothing???

Hmm. Maybe a long engagement would keep the more personal pleasantries shall we say, "coming."

The engagement is a far as I ever ventured. Still open to the idea, though.

You'll enjoy flying with Bill Leff, though. I know him through airshows and find him to be a great pilot--does a wonderful night show!

Enjoy it!

Then go diving...:D

darn too bad there ain't room for her in the plane too, you could dive and fly at the same time, best of both worlds...:D

Only a true aviator would take look forward to a plane ride more than sex.

Yeah you better dive AFTER the flight, you know the guidelines about waiting to fly after going diving..... :D

Might be the bestest day of your life ever.....Go fly, get drunk and eat some good barbeque then have dessert...And maybe even borrow the other dudes Guns 'n Roses DVDs too?

nah,

he made out on the deal. Diamonds get lost, types don't :)

I knew mine was a keeper when I married her 12 years ago, but she re-affirms it on a regular basis.

One was when I called her at work and told her I blew 7,500 bucks on two guns, and she said so where are you going to take me to dinner to celebrate?

And another time was when we had an 8.00 late fee on a DVD we rented but never watched. I sent the wife into papa murphy's to order a pizza, while I went into the video store to negotiate the late fee.

We have known the manager gal for years, so after I explained the details of our not seeing the crappy movie they rented us, the manager gal waived the fees. I rented two movies at that point, and headed over to Papa murphy's to catch up with the wife.

She asked me how things went with the late fee and I told my wife I had to promise to go down on the hollywood video rental manager to get out of the 8.00 late fee.

My wife looked at me and said, "Just don't tell when".
