I'd love to hear more too. Unfortunately, one cannot delve shallowly. To delve is to to search deeply and laboriously. So "delve deeply" is redundant, and "delve shallowly," while amusing, is oxymoronic. :)

On the water planing question....

If a plane waterskies up a river at the same speed as the river flows, will he actually take off?
