Is glideslope really that important? If you're to low on approach, you could drag it in with power even though this could be considered bad practice. If you're too high, you could do S-turns something to that effect.

Isn't glideslope really an issue for approaching airports at night when you might not be able to see obstructions???

No, glideslope is not important at all. It just exists to torment pilots and serves as one more item that examiners can fail an applicant on. WTF do you think?

Perhaps you meant to ask if Glideslope was relevent in severe clear conditions? Next time I'm trucking down the ILS I'll just disregard the glideslope, you can watch the results on your local 1800 news cast.

If you are doing s-turns on an ILS because you're too high, you are a braver man than most. Good luck with that. Who did you work for again?
 
From previous posts I think Clear & a Million is a student pilot, so I think he's talking about a Visual glide path (i.e. learning to land), not an ILS glideslope.
