Just heard from a firsthand source they started layoffs today at STL, two week notice to over 60% to the pilots at this location. So much for the grand plans of expansion and competitor to Netjets as boasted by the scumbag management.

Watch AIN or AIN Online. Announcement to come shortly from Sentient. All I can say is TAG you're it.
Remember you heard it here first.

BTW the aircraft management side is doing just fine, growing rapidly in fact. The "pool pilot" side, aka Jet Direct, Summit, Presidential etc., well that may be a different story.

Whoa....I had heard planes kept leaving and that business had slowed down, but I didn't know it was that bad already!

So are you saying something like, they are going to be run as a wholly owned but completely independent operation, separate from Sentient-Weymouth. That Jake Cartwright is going to lead this group from SFO and that all hr, admin, finance, accounting and marketing will be done in house for this new group, just like it was at TAG?

Am I close?

Uh, you might be a little warm with that theory  .

A problem that I had hope to hear they had fixed. What I hear now is that they are trying to get the people who had flown their customers to accept a lot less than what there were owed and they would pay for future charters in full via some escrow.

?!? Has anyone accepted this "offer" without laughing in Sentient's face?
