Has anyone read how the Senate vote turned out on June 3rd for the Inhofe Amendment, allowing pilots to fly beyond age 60 in Part 121 operations?
Thanks.

I don't believe Senate Bill 959 (The Inhofe sponsored Age 65 Act) has been voted on by the Senate.

Screw the age 60 rule. I want the age 50 rule. Who really wants to fly and drag their suitcase around to some hotel when your 64. Forget it. I'd wanna be on a boat in the sunshine drinkin a few coldies, instead of some crapola holiday inn with lousy service and piss-poor food.

As a furloghed pilot, I'm hoping it is repealed, so all of us furloughees can return to our "real" jobs, and stop temping for, in my case, the USAF.

Kommutrdog, it is if you are reading my mind. I have an image of a sad old man tipping the van driver before going up for a night of channel surfing, all the while wondering if he can stretch his dirty shirt for one more day of use...I'll smell the armpit section in the morning and make my decision then.

Lots of folks retire earlier than 60 for the same reasons. Some like to fly and have decent schedules by then so they can still do the boat thing with a few coldies (and hotties?) and fly some. I'd like to have the choice.
