Does anyone have information (I realize it's still early) on how they might have crashed?

Such a tragedy, especially after seeing their ages - 20 and 22.

Not much at this moment. Departed just before 930pm from STP going up to GFK, last radio transmission at 1015pm, nothing unusual. Looking around at the area metars that evening it seemed like a nice night, 10 clr with NW winds in the teens. They're pulling out the plane from a swamp today with a UH-60, so maybe they'll find something obvious, maybe not. Very sad. I don't recall the last time a student AND instructor we're lost in a UND airplane. Was before my time, '00-'04. One of my friends was a close friend of Annette's.
