Peoria Police Department chains them to the ground for this reason.
When they can't chain them down, they remove a tire.

But the tire is the same size as a normal trailer tire, so if you come prepared...
You don't want to go for the whole sign (cops catch you moving that thing and you are fuxored - it followed me doesn't usually work as a defense). It is possible to unscrew the sign from the trailer and then attach a power supply at home but you need a security hex screwdriver.

They watch the things like hawks in our neighborhood now.

Terrcatools sees a security bit set that includes all the sizes and variants of the major security screw manufactures. Not that I have used them to access things that they didn't want me to with.

Oh, we never actually STOLE the things - That would have been suicidal!
All we would do is move them from one place to another. It was hilarious to place them in parking lots or someone's driveway. One time we got ahold of one at like 4 in the morning, took it downtown and placed it so it was radar-ing the train tracks. Another time someone else braver than we got one and took it down to the police station and aimed it at their parking lot. Same person got another one the next day and put it at the Mr. Donut. The police were not amused. Eventually we outgrew this.

It's more fun picking the lock on those highway construction signs and reprogramming them. They are pretty simply locks, only a few tumblers with limited combinations.

The best is there was a 5 block square area where there were no signs what-so-ever ;) And if you want signs for decoration, Mapquest is a good place to go looking for roads you want...

Shawn, that is an interesting idea...

I don't think so. When they put the muzzle on me here, I wasn't able to post anything or even read my IMs. I'm pretty sure calling the moderators gay pussies will get you tossed in there, so don't do that.

Penalty box

Just like the bigger airports have.....YOU screw up you'll end up in this penalty box for a period of time!

We created this box to hopefully slow down some of the unprofessionalism on the boards......Moderators have the ability to "Ban" people now for a period of time of their choosing. During that time the "banned" users will go into this Penalty box, which is the only thing they will see when they login and the only place they will be able to post.

You can find yourself in this penalty box via several ways.....i.e unprofessional talk, innapropriate avatars or signatures, posting personal information about others or just because your being a pain in the arse to the rest of the boards. Oh and MOST important...YOU POST A SCAB LIST...YOU WILL BE IN HERE FOREVER! I don't tolerate that crap......so don't post it!! Get a life and grow up!

Keep it clean and the ban will be lifted...otherwise you'll be here til you run out of fuel....just like OHARE (been there done that) :-)

What about a PFT list?

Or maybe an RJDC list?

I've got a list of good BBQ joints, could that be used as a "get out of jail(penalty box) free" card?

:D

If you are banned, and cannot post or view any board other than the banned board, how can you do anything but keep it clean?
