At one airport I fly into regurally and most times over night the security is terrible. I continually see people strolling around the hanger area and peaking into airplanes who don't belong there. Don't get me wrong I don't mind people looking at the company jet, but when they start touching it and even check to see if it's unlocked that's enough. This airport even allows car parking on the ramp and cars drive right up to the terminal. It doesn't make any sence to me, this isn't a little airport. It has a 8,000' runway and well over 300 plane based on the field with numerous jets. Any one else have these problems and what did you do about it if any thing?

GulfstreamLover,

I would say a call to the TSA might help correct this problem.

Go to the TSA website. My understanding is that they have authority over the whole traveling shebang. However, the actual people you might see at individual airports may be local police. I am sure there is plenty of information and knowledge to be gained just by visiting their site.

I see many different levels of security flying around the country. Each state's response to the issue is different. I would venture to say that if you are having problems that it can be changed and fairly quickly.
