Guys, I would normally not cut and paste someone else's post, but I thought this was pretty important....i

Please pass along to your crews.....

"I was in GSP the other day and had a Delta Pilot that was MEC of security for them come on the plane. He wanted to let us know about a few incidents that could be terrorist related. All three were on RJ's and all being looked at by the FBI.

The first was on a SkyWest flight when a pax locked himself in the lav and then the plane started to develope pressurization problems. They ended up diverting to Kansas City. The second was on a Comair flight when a Pax was video taping the FA's procedures and the pilots action while the door was open. The FA told the guy to turn it off numerous times, he just kept turning it on. The captain had the pax removed from the flight. The third was on a CoEx flight when a Pax was video taping the FA's and pilots procedures. The Captain ended up tell the pax to turn it off and to give him the tape. The Pax said no and the Captain ended up taking the tape from him. He was removed and the tape was given to the FBI. The FBI found about 4 hours of pilot and FA procedures on this tape from numerous flights and all were on RJ's.

This Delta Pilot wanted to make sure that all companys who fly RJ's know this information. The FBI and other law enforcement agency's think that terrorists are watching RJ's more than the big planes now.

Takes this how you want but, this guy had the FO and I starting to think about it a little more. If you guys see anything wierd, don't hesitate to question it. "

Its just a matter of time till these fu*kers try something else. Was there any mention of the ethnic backgrounds of these guys video taping?

careful out there guy/gals

This is ridiculous.

I never fathomed when I first considered a career as an airline pilot that I would have to consider myself a soldier as well; none of us did. What a sad world we're living in these days.

Thanks for the heads up.

So does that give us the military pay raise in addition to the "peanuts per flight hour" scale that seems to be becoming the trend?:D

Alright TSA, quit the BS and start the FFDO classes back up before it's too late again.

Interesting.

How about keeping security related discussions off publicly accessible forums?

How about quit trying to be such a smart guy?

I read this thing through 3 times to make sure that it did not contain any sensitive material. I was hoping that word of mouth would help spread the word to be alert.

Yeah, you are right...best to wait for our respective ops or dispatch to get it out in memo form....that should not take long.

RE: The nationality question....no word from this poster, but I spoke with a friend at another regional today and he said that a week or so ago they took away a cam corder from a guy until security could come and take for questioning...no word on outcome, but the profile was middle eastern (mustache shaved).

c'mon folks.

Dont you think that the next terrorist who acts up on a flight is going to find himself beaten to F'n death pretty quick?

Id be more concerned with shoulder launched rockets or cargo ops where entire humans have smuggled themselves aboard, nevermind bombs....

thats eye-opening.

I just personally think that if Muhhamed and a few friends don masks and start running down the aisle chanting to Alla that they will be pummeled and beaten to death rather quickly. And that would not be a bad thing.

Terrorism breeds on fear. Dont let these few win.

:D :D

You must not EVER fly the day that there are only 4 pax on board huh???

We can all think that we won't be the next ones, but when you or someone you know is......just keep your eyes open out there, anything could happen.

No I dont fly on RJ's

But really, you guys have flights with FOUR pax onboard??

crazy...but if so...hate to say it but your airline may not be in business very long....

:(

either way I agree, be careful. And I certainly trust, that even if 3 of those 4 were terrorists - I believe you 2 up front would decapitate them anyways, and throw the bodies out on the tarmac for CNN to forward to Al-Jazerra.. The politicians may have already forgetten 9/11 - but I know pilots have not.

Don't get me wrong, we fly full most of the time but there are the flights where we get our paperwork and we have 3, 4, 6, 10 on board.

We get paid by the flight anyway. The mainline partner still makes money because I've see pax pay up to $1200 r/t on one of our flights!

I have to say a few things.....

You really think if there was going to be a terrorist attack they are going to do it like that? These guys are steps ahead of us, and the TSA. The TSA will admit that if someone really wants to bring a bomb onboard an aircraft, they can and there is nothing they can do to stop them. That having been said, they are trying their **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**dest to stop them, but even with all the bag checks, and "silly" procedures, there are ways around everything.

You must not EVER fly the day that there are only 4 pax on board huh???

Darn straight!

You dont?

AHH...ERAU chiks.

You might want to ask your CEO and President.

I think they will have a different opinion.

Know your mission.
