While we are all taking paycuts. Im sure a lot of us with families to feed are taking second jobs. Any suggestions on jobs that pay decent, yet will work with your reserve schedule?
Like working the second job on a reserve day and if you get called you can bail and still come back to work another day?

Im sure glad I got in this industry for the glamour and not the money! 8)

Do a search on this board, the subject has been covered 3 or 4 times - lots of suggestions like bar tending, substitute teaching, security guard, TSA part-time (when they were hirring), CFIing, Porno actor ect.....

I've been thinking about a part-time gig myself but can't give up slouching around my apartment on my days off. I am however looking into ski patrol / ski instructor for this winter as I'm based and live in upstate NY. I think it will make a good part-time gig and let me ski for free to boot, more money saved.

My second job is a Airline pilot. My first job is playing the Piano in a cat house. The management at the cat house is head and shoulders above the Airline in all categories, especially character and integrity. Haven't told my mother about the airline job yet. She still has some respect for me.
