Does anybody know where there is an online listing of all the lakes in the US where you are able to land, takeoff, and keep a seaplane? how about for an Ultralight Seaplane?
I once heard that you CAN'T land a plane on water ANYWHERE in New Jersey. Is this true?
You are not likely to get a listing of where you can land unless there is a registered seaplane base/operations area which the seaplanes association should be able to provide through their directory. It may not be available on-line unless you are a member. What the directory also attempts to provide are a summary of local regulations/restrictions on seaplane operations. NJ may very well have restrictions on this. I just recently got some dual in a Maule 7 in central FLA. What a ride! Landed on about 8 different lakes with only 2 having an official seaplane base registered and charted (1 being the Instructor's).
