SEA - ATL Commute

It's tougher than you might think. In the summer, there is a LOT of cruise traffic. Learn what days the boats come in and out of port, and try to adjust your schedule accordingly. The loads on those days will make you want to cry.

I'm sure others have lots more information, but that's what I've experienced.

Apply to Alaska. No job or job experience is worth commuting across the country. I commute from DCA/IAD/BWI to ATL and find that little commute painful at times. I went to Portland, OR from ATL this summer and it took 9 hours Westbound (US Airways/America West) and 10 hours Eastbound (American/AirTran).
 
DO NOT attempt to do this on a regular basis. I did the SEA-ATL commute (offline, no CASS) for less than one year, and four of them turned into 2 day affairs with overnight stays in the terminals of Denver, Portland, LA, and Reagan. After a whopping one day at home I have to do it all over again. YMMV depending if you have CASS access or not. Trust me - it's no way to live.
