A fourth grade education in school, but he was, roughly, the press secretary for a national government. Now maybe you don't like who he worked for (I sure don't), but he likely deserves some credit for "life experience".

And I really don't see why being part of the Taliban should disenamor him to so many republicans. Are the Taliban and the USA that the neo cons envision really so different? One state mandated religion, no freedom to dissent or to free speech, draconian punishments, subgugation of women, heck, change mohammed to Jesus and you've got Limbaugh, Cheney and Pat Robertson sporting wood like 17 year olds!!!!
