Anyone flown a Schweizer 269a after a roll over? Do they ever fly the same again? I'm considering buying a 269A that rolled over 600 hours ago.

Not me...but, on the bright side, it should have lots of new components....blades, transmission, engine. If not, stay away. The sudden stop when the blades impact(or at least severe forces if not a sudden stop) could do lots of damage to the transmission and engine. I, personally, would steer clear of it.

It wouldn't bother me so long as everything had been replaced or overhauled - blades (replaced), transmission (probably replaced), engine (overhauled), T/R driveshaft and associated components. Probably the entire T/R gearbox and both blades, pitch links, etc.

These things are built to be plug and play. Component wears out, replace it. If the entire drivetrain was replaced, it should be as good or better than any other 269.

BTW - Go Gators! :) I enjoyed christening Bobby Bowden field last year. :)
