kf4amu: pretty bold to make that assertion (tickets will cost more)..when you get the data, let me know..I agree with you...bad idea...I just said your case for being opposed was weak....

Not to pass the buck, but thats what Baldanza said on an interview...ticket prices will drop when this is implemented. I won't ever get the data because I don't care THAT much about it, but going on what he said I imagine it to be at least partly true. They probably won't drop 45 dollars but still.

I totally agree with Mike's assertion that it's not the government's business what a company charges for...if a company wants to make a stupid move...LET THEM. Spirit's move has not only reaped them huge negative publicity... I don't see any airlines (contrary to Schumer's opinion) moving in that same direction. If they do...they may pay a price, also. The long and short of it is that if a company makes a stupid move, they will pay a price as they lose marketshare.
Government has no business running them, as they can't even run their own business profitably. Government sits on top of the biggest cash stream on the planet, tax free, can not make a profit...can not break even...nay, can not even keep from losing trillions of our hard earned cash...even with the ability to print monopoly money to help out...but I'm getting off track (sorry).
I did like somebody's idea about what cargo pants are all about and perhaps sales of such will experience a resurgence.

Not that I am pro government these days but imagine Schumer telling Microsoft and Apple that since Windows 7 and OS X are required (or reasonably necessary) to run a computer they can't charge for it. Schumer might actually be retarded, not only does this #$%&stick suck the teat of the government but he is a socialist.

Rant over.

Schumer and the Democratic leadership have the audacity to villify corporations, when our elected officials (some on both sides)are doing so much worse...something about throwing stones and glass houses...or pot meet kettle...or some such nonsense.
OK...OK...give me a break, it is tax day after all...rant over.

Schumer has always been a grandstanding ambulance-chaser of the worst order. These guys are pathetic.
