scholarships or grants

If you're a resident of Illinois you got it made, you don't have to pay a cent for your 4 year degree or Commercial/mulit/instrument ticket. The Illinois Veterans Grant covers 100% of tuition for the degree including all of the flight training, all you have to do is serve at least one year in one of the armed forces.

Don't know of any other states that have a grant like that though.
 
I'm from Ohio. Not a lot of people in my town think that flying is a career so it is very hard trying to explain how it is. Then they've already given all their scholarship money away to kids that want to be doctors or lawyers or nurses. great! but I will keep looking.
