Looks like Flight Options lost a PR person, too. From the Flight Options blog:

Who's Minding the Store

Dennis Baker (D Baker) is Flight Options' Director of Corporate Communications and Editor of Cleared For Takeoff as of 07/01/08.

(Former FO Manager of Public Relations, Cindi Deutschman-Ruiz, edited Cleared for Takeoff from its launch on 01/07/08 through 06/30/08.)

Things must be very bad at FLOPS now that the cuts extended to the Bloggers. :bawling:

How can a fractional airline function without a Blogger? It just can't be done!!!!

Oh the inhumanity!!!

Scheeringa recorded the weekly message, released this afternoon. Was this his last official act? Or (to paraphrase) have rumors of his demise been greatly exaggerated?

If you're taking a poll....I think the new owners booting MS makes perfect sense and I can easily imagine the pilots chanting "Good riddance!"

Good Riddance to her...

Posted 5-23-2008 on "Flops Randomly Terminating" thread:

You know...they will make it like the pilots "did this," while they play their little games with Cuyahoga County because the residents didn't want the runway extension. Funny they claimed it would be 10 years before they were going to start on that....Now it is an immediate problem for some reason.

I wonder what the stats are on term'd employees that are residents of Cuy Co. See what you did to your community you bad people??? :crying: Now give us 10 billion so we stay here, and we'll hire 200 more of your residents at min wage.

Argh. Paybacks to the county and the bad pilots. 130 office staff gone? Doors are closing. I know we were ridiculously overstaffed in office jobs, but 130? I hope the blogger got to keep her job. Gotta love a blog that gets paid to lift ideas from the SWA blog and block ALL comments. (search Ms. hyphen name on google thanking the SWA blogger for their ideas. Nice to get paid for that).

Classic, CV!! If/when Scheeringa gets the boot I think we should all play that song while we celebrate here together.

With "friends" like that who needs an enemy?! He lied to reporters, publicly embarrassing the entire company, drove away key, experienced employees who had helped to build the business, and ruined morale. Quite the list of "accomplishments"...:erm:

As for profits, if he does get the boot he'll probably be dragging a golden parachute behind him as he slinks away. No doubt his contract provided for a lucrative ending regardless of his performance. How could I forget? Add disrespect to employees and hypocrisy to the above list... Then face reality. Dumping MS will be a smart move for FltOps. Just ask the pilots who work there, but make sure the ones you poll have a backbone and see things clearly.
