The big problem that most don't consider is that the regulation concerning days off for 135 is that you must be scheduled off 13 days/quarter. That means scheduled off in advance and not after you didn't fly that day. That reg states in part....."the company will not assign, nor will the pilot accept.....unless you meet the days off". So what does that really mean? The FAA comes in to do a big audit and the company hasn't been giving you scheduled in advance days off but you have been flying the trips anyway. OOPS, you just lost you license and the company gets fined. Bye, Bye pilot certificate. "Would you like frys with that order sir?" will be your new mantra.
