Sorry for another post so quickly.My wife just found out she is getting trasfered to the bay area.I know that there are a lot of tech firms in that area.Does anybody know of any companies like Apple,HP or any other companies that have flight departments.Thanks for the help.

No. That is where I did my flight training. I didn't have the hours to apply so I moved out to Florida to do some flying. Goodluck

HP does have a flight dept and the two bros I know who work there love it.
As far as charter, there is (or was. Dunno if they are still there or not) Silicon Valley Express and when I was still in with those guys, they were operating a couple of Lear 35's. Silly Valley is (or was) located in the San Jose Jet Center building.

I would try ACM Aviation out of SJC... They are a very large Charter/Management company...

I love it there but it's just too friggin expensive. 1hour to hour and a half commute is typical if you want to live in a nice home and not cost you and arm and a leg and a few other parts.

I believe Fry's has a flight department down there as well. Last I heard they flying airplanes from the 1960's but they took care of their pilots.

Seagate does operate out of SJC, a F2000... but they're not hiring.

Also what about San Francisco?Doesn't First Security have a flight department I know that they finance quite a few.And is Tag considered a career place?If Texaco and Cisco do have flight departments I bet its really competive since there so big.I didn't even know that Fry's was still in business.What kind of aircraft do they have.

Fry's has a Sabre 40 .... yes a Sabre 40, with 1965 paint and a G-IIB(?).

I guess the boss likes to fly and is a little scared of modern day avionics. Funny thing too, considering they sell tech toys.

a couple of years ago, one of the N7 checkairman was flying part-time for them (Fry's) in a 727.

Fry's electronics aircraft stay at ACM aviation in San Jose. As of last year they had a King Air 350, Saberliner, and a 727. The 727 was for the San Jose Sabrecats arena football team that Fry's owns also.
