Does anyone know if using safety cable w/crimps is an acceptable replacement for safety wire in all applications or are there limits? Where can you get the tool, cable and crimps?

There are two manufacturers of safety cable and tools, Bergen and Daniels. GE actually developed this process along with Bergen, but my preference is for the Daniels products. They are both manufactured to the SAE spec which means it is an allowable alternate for safety wire IF it is approved by the manufacturer. PW and PWC have certain applications that prohibit the use of it. Bug is correct, it is not cost effective by any means.

It is more expensive than I had expected. I just thought it might be good for those sometimes next to impossible places to twist in.
