Hourbuilder ... I'm gonna explain why you're getting such a hard time on your two posts, both of which were about begging for some free time.

First, your grammar and spelling really suck, and that's saying something on an aviation board, because pilots - while usually college educated - often exhibit terrible spelling and grammar. English is probably not your first language, and I understand that personally, but for these kinds of posts you need to really check them closely in MS Word before posting. Otherwise, you'll get ripped - as you've seen - because you're begging for a freebie yet the spelling and grammar in the post give plenty to poke fun at in addition to the general thrust of the post, and that's one reason you're catching it on your threads.

I split a lot of time after I got my PPL, always paying for half of it. This is a common practice, and is great for honing basic IR skills. But people will not generally be very receptive to a guy begging to ride along and throw a pair of foggles to them so they can log PIC. It's just not a classy thing to do, unless you know someone VERY well. It's also been my experience that aircraft owners - especially hi-perf and twin owners - are often being sweated about ride-alongs by CFIs they know locally already. So, they are not gonna like someone they don't even know on an internet forum asking about riding. Most likely ... it just ain't gonna happen, and it's kind of ballsy of you to ask. That's another reason the guys are ripping you a bit on both threads. It's just not done.

So remember ... it's nothing personal. Your request is just rubbing some the wrong way, and your grammar and spelling merely add fuel to the fire.

Hope this helps ...

Snakum, why the hi-perf time? I know that multi time is pure gold and that complex time is fairly good to rack up too.

PS: it is always more classy to offer to split some time, and sometimes you get it for free. If you are willing to scratch someone else's back, they sometimes are willing to scratch back.

PPS: plus if you give out time (an hour or something like that), they have a tendoncy to be appreciative. You apply at airline x and they see your name up on the interview list, they may put a good word in for ya. Never know when that sort of thing is going to be useful if you get my drift?

Should have written "complex" time. My bad.

Multi-engine flight time is the "gold"...... Start to network now so you won't have to worry about this when the time presents itself. This "time" is the hardest to obtain and it is what is desired and needed to get your foot into the door.

Multi-engine turbine time = you hit the lotto time....:D

good luck,

Sorry about my spelling, but as you might have seen engliish isn t my first language, and i am going to try to make more effort on my spelling.

As for Gulfstream 2000, I cant beleive how stupid that guy is and how pretentious he is just because he as a couple of thousand hours and is probably not able to do anything else than just fly a plane.
Tip for you Gulfstream 2000 if you have problem evolving in your career as a pilot it is probably because of a lack of brain and an excess of smart attitude that probably hides your frustration build up when you were a young fat kid in school.

I maybe wrong about you Gulfstream 2000 but even if so, you remain a **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**ing asshole.

well that was interesting hourbuilder!

I see u did get the point that u might come across as stupid if u are luking 4 hours or jobs and u sound like an illiterate moron.

sure....u can cum ryde alonge in my "Gulfstream 2000" anyday, u sound like a compertent pylot. Can you spell "ATC"? - think about it a minute...

PS - dont worry about my career (its just fine). -- worry about your own,and PLEASE...have somebody proof read your resume!!!

"but as you might have seen engliish isn t my first language" --

I wont even touch this one.

good luck

Look man its funny to see now how many spelling mistakes you are making when you just gave me spelling lessons a while ago. The sad thing is that this is the only language you can speak and almost write.

I am only 18 years old and I am sure that by the time i reach your age i ll be flying a G5 and certainly not your old G 200 that u can keep and stuff it deeply up your.......

and stop spending your time on that forum, i thougt you were a very busy pilot so why dont you fly or do something more useful than just spit at everybody that posts a request.

Man.....Now I actually feel bad....like I made fun of a retarded kid......

Funny how his spelling just improved on his last post.....lol

Settle down a little hour builder, the guy's got 4700 hrs more than you.
Reach that number first, see how you feel about it.
How do you intent to log all this safety pilot ime anyway?
"acting" PIC? "pretending" PIC?
If you want to make a career out of aviation you may want to stay away from any safety pilot time, it's considered pretty useless.
The only time that you can do absolutely nothing and still log PIC is when you're a CFI........

Since you’re a young guy work’n hard. Get that CFII/MEI and start teaching. If that’s not good for you, go down to the FBO and get a job where you can make some contacts. I do have to say, this is one of the more amusing threads I’ve read for awhile…

Not sure if I agree with that anymore. I've been looking hard for an airline job for a while. I've got 500TT and 250ME... and I can't get anyone to call me back. I know my TT sucks but I didn't think it mattered that much. By the way, the 250 was not PFT, but at this point I'm almost willing to go that route.
