Our local community lost a fellow ag pilot this morning after a landing/takeoff accident that is very difficult to understand but yet so simple to relate.
Two AT-502 airplanes of the same company collided head on while one was taking off to the east with a 450 gallon load of Lannate and the other was on his landing roll to the west resulting in a very explosive fire that took the life of a very great individual, the other pilot (Thank God) somehow miraculously walked away unscathed.
What a tough day.
Adios Amigo...you will be missed. And to you L., try to not let this hang with you, it could have very well happened to any of us.
Fly safe all.
