Saab Headset

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good headset for the Saab 340? I'm looking for something lightweight, but also I'd like ANR.

Also does anyone know what flight case will fit the Saab?

Get the lightspeed 20XL-2's they are super lightweight and are very comfy. The ANR qualitys rock and the battery life is surpurb. the best part is they have a plug in for your 1/8" stereo mini jack..... that means you can jam away to your favorite mp3s and CD's without disturbing anyone else!

I used to use Lightspeeds but the plastic headband kept breaking off... they always fixed it promptly but it got to be a hassle.

Also remember the Lightspeeds, and Denali's (I think) aren't TSO'd so if you have an uptight Fed you might have an issue.

I now use TSO'd DC 13XLs ANRs and they work great but are still David "Clamps" but not too bad.

I've been using the lightspeed QFR
for three years in the J-32 and they
rock...better audio quality than DC
(I was a hardcore DC fan) and they
were only $275. 2 AA batts go about
a month, even leaving them on overnight
a few times...(don't have auto shutoff).

They are lightweight, and have wire
connection between the cups that looks
too flimsy to hold up, but again, I have
worn 'em three years (better than 2000
hours) in the junkstream with no problems.

I think that the best thing about anr is that
you can run the IC/radio volumes at lower
levels, not overdriving the headset
speakers for even less noise in the
headset. They have been exposed to
temps ranging from -14 to 119, with no
problems.

Bottom line...probably the best ANR value
out there!

I installed the aftermarket ANR from Headsets Inc. into my 13 year old DC 10-20s. They work well, although the 9 volt battery is only good for about 10 hours in the noisy Saab. I got 6 AA holder and tape it to the battery pack. The AA batteries last 30+ hours.
