Hello,
I am looking for some information about Ryanair in Ireland. I have heard some things about the way they treat employees, and was wondering if it was the fault of Michael O'Leary, who took over the company in 1994, or is it the way the Ryan's wanted it.

Also, any information about Declan Ryan would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The only knowledge I have is second-hand from guys that have left, take it at face value.
Ryanair works the dog snot out of you (100 hrs per month). You pay for your hotel if they need you in another base. You bring your own water to work. Rostering is 5 early shows 3 days off followed by 5 late shows 4 days off. I think you could do 5 to 6 sectors (legs) a day.
It is a lot of work but they pay well (sounds like southwest) and by well I mean top of the short haul industry hear in the UK.
There is a book out claming there work practise are dangerous I forget the name but the guys at http://www.pprune.org/forums/index.php should be able to answer any questions you have.

Thanks. I'm aware of all of that, except they don't really pay that well. They figure out ways to not pay you. If you go by what the company website says, they treat their employees well, and pay them top dollar. I don't think it's really true.

I'm really interested in why things changed. Was it their current chief, or were the Ryans involved in their current situation.

Thanks for the info.
