Was looking for information on certification on a corporate a/c for RVSM. Our Hawker 800XP will be group certified, however, was wondering the time frame to get your local FISDO to sign off on certification and the steps to get the a/c HMU tested.

I've been to the FAA web site for RVSM, seen the paper work, lots, but wanted some extra feedback from operators who have done this recently.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on your FSDO and the person who handles you there. We once had a newbie FAA guy who didn't know squat!!! Afraid to make any decision without consulting a superior who also had the same CYA attitude. Took them forever to process our paperwork.

Hope you have a good FSDO and a good working relationship with them.
