Sounds like microburst along with lightning strike. I don't think that wx radar helped much.

Is that a bottle of Coke in the f/o seat back? Better get TSA on that one. Maybe the turb. caused the pilots to hit thier heads on the fan resulting in instant death.

Visited an Aeroflot cockpit years ago, same type AC. Same colors, but smelled like a cross between a urine-soaked nursing home and a smokers lounge. The INS was as big as an old-time cash register. Nice guys.

They're too cheap for radar, so they make the engineer sit in the radom and peep thru two little holes and watch for TSs.
