Runway Status Lights

I am doing my Capstone on the Runway Status Lights System that has recently been approved and has been tested in Texas and California. What is the thought in the ATC community about this system? Do you think it will be effective for reducing the runway incident problems? Just looking for some feedback! Thanks!

Call NATCA National and get the phone numbers and email addresses of the NATCA Union Reps at those facilities where they were tested. Then you might get some real answers - candidly, of course. The national number for NATCA is 800-266-0895. If they won't give them to you, PM me back with the specific facilities and I will get them for you.
