Runaway Prop?

Now that's going to be one unhappy insurance adjuster!

This made the rounds on the net a few years ago along with a story about a disgruntled girlfriend with a chainsaw. It turns out to have been just another case of someone hand-propping their plane with no chocks in, no parking brake, and with the throttle pushed forward.

If I recall correctly, the guy was handpropping his plane by himself. Forgot to set the parking brake, or it came loose. Either way, his airplane, now under power and with no pilot, went on a little trip across the ramp and into that hangar, which was full of aircraft belonging to a flight school. Apparently it damaged a few other aircraft, but that Seminole was the worst one. Interesting to note how the lack of stringers allows the tail to sort of flop over when the aluminum skin is chopped up.
