Interesting video on Hal's engine and aircraft fire on his new Badland's aircraft with 80 hours on it. Glad he did all the right things and got it on the ground immediately otherwise it could have ended badly! First build of this aircraft type, shows it can be wise to wait and watch new aircraft designs as they iterate design changes to triage lessons learned and incidents like this as well as new engines like the Rotax 916is. I'm not a fan of being an early adopter on any aircraft type! Hal plans to build a new one and hit the STOL competition circuit next year.
