I ordered a set of Rosen Visors for my Baron today and wanted to know if they are as good as they seem. 70% of my trips head East bound in the morning and Westbound in the afternoon so the sun is in my eyes almost all the time. I saw a plane with them the other day and thought they would help out alot. What you all think?

Since I don't own a plane, I can't comment on their durability or cost/benefit ratio. But I have rented several planes with those visors installed, and I like them a LOT! It seems that when I'm flying into the sun, the sun is always sitting too low for regular visors to be of any use. You don't have that problem with the rosen ones.

Anyway, I liked them enough to always be renting a particlar plane just because it had the visors installed. I bet you'll like them too.

I flew a couple hundred hours in a Bonanza with Rosen visors. I liked then a lot. One of the visors cracked, and I mentioned this to a guy at the Rosen booth at sun&fun, and he handed me a replacement on the spot, no questions. I think that they're a good product. pricey, but good.

regards

We have them in our planes and I love em (though the ones on the Citation could stand to be a tad bigger). However, that being said, they do work great.

As far as durability, the only problems I've had in the past were with the screw attachment to the rail. However, when I called Rosen, they had a replacement part in my hands in short order at a minimum cost. I've never had a screen crack or break.

Treat them like your sunglasses. Clean them per instructions and they'll last a long time!
