I think I saw a Phenom 300 in Netjets colors a few days ago (callsign Execjet 300?) at EGE. Nice looking airplane.

So, are they already operating on the line for Netjets fractaional customers? Or are they doing test flights or demo flights for current customers?

Are we going to see mass numbers arriving soon or stretched out over years? What is the rollout shedule for the Phenom 300? How many arriving this year vs. next year? Also, are they basically replacing the Beechjet, Encore and XLS over time (phased out as Phenoms arrive)?

Again, nice looking airplane and pretty versatile from what I have heard from Phenom pilots I encounter at the FBOs.

300QS is a demo plane our pilots are flying around. Demo vs ours will be the same except the avionics. Two a month starting in April till the end of the year. After that it depends on sales. The 300 replaces the ultra, encore, encore+, and beechjet.

If your customers can't wait to get into a Phenom 300 send them over to Flight Options they have around 15 already and have been operating them for almost 2 years now.

technically that could work, but Netjets is a much better operation with far superior pilots.

The demo model is doing more owner flights than demos. New owners get it or the Excel so they are flying as many as possible in the demo 300. Since management hasn't said anything about a replacement for the Excel, my guess is the Phenom and the Latitude will split those owners unless some new bird comes along that is so good it must be bought (rather unlikely).

The Latitude is not the same category as the Excell. It's the largest cabin Cessna has ever made. I'll bet the Phenom will eventually replace the Excell, but it is certainly replacing the Ultra, Encore, Encore+, and 400XP.

So far my predictions have been close, except for the Challenger 605 purchase. That caught everyone by surprise. I'll make another prediction, for what it's worth.

The Latitude was simply a carrot thrown at Cessna to keep them in the game, after the decision to add Bombardier and Embraer to our fleet. It really has no place, evidenced by our desire to streamline the fleet-a smart move. It would be more prudent to buy more CE680s-a very popular jet.

I'll bet we're playing the OEM game, and exchange the Latitude orders for the new TEN, and exchange the 605 orders for a product yet to be developed. The 300 may be a bit smaller than our old Falcons, but will do until Bombardier comes up with something new, or Dassualt decides to price right. In any case I bet we're down to 7 types in the next ten years. Duplication of effort and emotional/impetuous purchases will no longer drive our decisions-I hope.

The Latitude may very well replace the 680, the 800, 900, some Ten and some Excels if we get them. It's price is about the same as the Hawkers and about half way between the XLS + and the 680. It will go 2500 miles and have a nice big cabin. Maybe we don't end up taking any, but if we do I think it will be a big and popular fleet. Time will tell.

I don't mean to bring Avantair into this thread, they're already getting beat up pretty good. On that Avantair discussion, a couple of people said "Avantair is not a direct competitor of Netjets"

Well I disagree... Their CEO likes to compare his Avanti aircraft to the light jets Netjets and other frax operate. He claims his Avanti bird is far more fuel efficient and just as comfortable as the Beechjet, light Cessans and Phenom 300. He said several people left or will leave the Netjets' light-jet program for him.

If that ain't direct competition, I don't know what is

Saw the EMB-300 at Teterboro last week. If any of the NJer's actually read the Fall Owners Update that just came out, it had listings of a whirlwind, coast-to-coast, static demo tour in 7-8 cities over the past week or so.

Advanced share sales of the aircraft have been reported as.....

Wait for it.....

Phenomenal.

Badump-bump. :D

Ten pilots are the only ones that think the company will die without a Ten. The decision has been made. Sorry but it's over, no Ten.

Ten and Gulfstream guys sound the same. "The company is doomed without our plane".

They seem to be the ones that ".....talk to the owner...." about this or that "....all the time".

I keed I keed, sort of.

Never said we're doomed without it. A very prominent comedian went to the boss irate that we were disposing of the X's. Another asked me several years ago about the SSBJ, and when I said it would cost at least $100 million, he didn't even blink and said he'd buy one. Image is a huge thing to some, whether it's for bragging rights or the illusion of time versus money. The fact is we cater to those where image is very important. We'll get the Ten.
