I think the one possible downfall of the Costco bag is that if you really get the wheels wet it wrecks the bearings. I dragged my bad through five inches of snow during Valentine Day blizzard last year and sure enough a few days later the bearings started to screech. Of course I got a free replacement.

They're junk for every day travel. Mine lasted a month before the bearings were shot and the wheels actually started to wobble. Another friend of mine got one and it lasted about the same time. I got a PNS from the Stopover store in DTW. It's a tank.

....

I've had the PNS bag coming up on seven years now.
Like said above, it's a tank.

It has survived the regional world, and has now been dragged all around the world from Europe to South Africa to Iraq to Afghanistan. It looks like hell, but still keeps on going. (If that isn't convincing enough I don't know what is).

Don't go buy some cheesy plastic bag just because they have some sort of free return policy, thats silly. Who wants to spend their free time taking some cheap bag back?

(on a side note, I did have to have the main zipper redone once, but otherwise, a tank)

"My bag can beat up your bag!!"
