Huh ? General - I was quoting you....

:) If you have no idea what I was talking about it is because you had no idea what you were talking about, which is what I've been trying to say for years :)

Your "horse in the barn" quote is what sounded like one of Dan Rather's "Ratherisms". I know what I am talking about, and I usually back myself up with articles etc. that show my point. Some of your stuff makes me think you might be "on the chronic." (But we have known that for years too) Take care.

General : Your question might be prophetic.

Like I have said - you mainline guys need the RJDC to prevail worse than we do.

O.K. Fins, what in the RJDC lawsuit would eliminate whipsaw? I'm all ears.

There are several methods, once you allow the Regional Pilots' MEC to represent them with equanimity:
1. Force ALPA to allow "represented" pilots access to the party with operational control of their airline to negotiate pay and working conditions.
2. Obey ALPA's own merger and fragmentation policy to bring pilots together instead of forming alter ego "mini Delta's" to fight for flying.
3. Force ALPA into obeying the desires of its represented pilots with regard to single carrier petitions
4. All Delta flying done by Delta pilots - perfect scope.

That would be a great word playing scrabble. I prefer a couple words---uncontested genius.

Close. Actually the word genus applies. The genus "Knowitallus" from the family "Dalpasuperiorus" phylum "tinycraniuslargeopionius". Walking erect(although years of species breeding has left this family with a slight hitch in their golf swing[ while talking in others]) and chanting endlessly seems common among this group. :)

First of all none of this is accomplished by the lawsuit, and none of this answers the question which was posed.

Second, the lawsuit specifically prohibits ALPA from negotiating scope restrictions which apply to other pilot groups. IOW, a combined DAL/ASA/CMR seniority list would be prohibited from placing restrictions on Mesa pilots flying DL code.

Isn't true, that if CMR and/or ASA were spun off the RJDC lawsuit would continue because the RJDC doesn't differentiate between wholly owned and non wholly owned when it comes to scope restrictions?
