Will the RJDC sue the NY Port Authority for trying to limit RJs at LGA? Maybe if you win the lawsuit, you could own the new Freedom Tower??

Bye Bye--General Lee

The RJDC is all about fixing the symptoms....

The RJDC isn't about fixing anything. That's the rhetoric they throw around, but that's not what this is about at all. It started out about money, and when the judge threw out their monetary claims, they clung to the only remaining DFR claim just out of pure stubbornness.

No, but they made a very high quality presentation to the Port Authority. A task ALPA should have done since the pilots it represents will be effected.

Rather let's adress the disease and work on prevention!
No it isn't.

Symptoms - failed scope policy, predatory bargaining, and a race to the bottom.

The disease is ALPA's failure of representation when minority interests are involved. The Prevention will require an overhaul of ALPA's governance. Yes - lets try that from a minority position.

Our local MEC Reps can talk about "relationship building" but that is just feel good crap. While small jet carriers are "relationship building" mainline ALPA is sitting down with management and devising $150 million dollar "negotiating credit" for flying being performed by their non preferred members.

The job Delta is doing on Comair documents the damages the RJDC has projected would result by ALPA's promotion of alter ego flying and predatory bargaining. A seniority list makes a perfect "class" for a group action.

If ALPA doesn't pull of a Hail Mary of a motion to dismiss, I think Capt. Ford may just become a very powerful force at ALPA. His litigation is on point factually and the damages are there.

Let's not forget to point fingers at gov't, Corp America and culture.

Minority intrests at the majorities expense?

Can the RJDC demonstrate its agenda while serving the minority is in the best intrests of the majority?

Trust and respect is not feel good. it is real. Obviously you feel mistrust and disprespect adn are acting on that... so why not the reciprocal as well?

Brand seniorty might be a good thing.. lot's of hurdles.. like the company's themsleves...

And then what....?? What are you willing to risk to prove a point? Sacrifice the majority for the minority?
