Where would be the best place to hang out or bug people to get into corporate flying in LA or Orange county?

Try in BUR the FBO, i can't remember the name, it's on the north side of runway 9.
VNY is of course the most popular spot, Raytheon is crowded, Petersen Aviation is a very nice place.

I'm not sure about pure pt. 91 corporate but for corporate/charter try: Avjet at BUR (on avjet.com they are looking for Westwind, Astra & Gulfstream pilots); Peterson, Spirit, Caly Lacy, The Airgroup, Elite Aviation, JetWest, Pacific Jet, & Raytheon at VNY; AirFlite (Toyota Motors) at LGB.
