I hear there are several charter/management operators in the area. "Let your fingers do the walking" or try knocking on doors. It's rough out there!!!!!

Pittston Group (Pittston Coal Mining, Brinks, and BAX Global) and RJ Renolds are at RIC.

Reynolds...

Reynolds also sold their two Falcon 50's a few years back.

Well......... Reynolds actually sold both their G-IV's when they sold Nabisco to Phillip Morris. They still operate two Falcon 2000's.

Huh?

I think we're talking about two different animals here...First there was RJR Nabisco...Yea, they had 2 G-IV's that were sold, and they still retain the two DA2000's. They are based in KINT. Then you had Reynolds METALS in KRIC. They were based there for years, and I think only had two DA50's. They closed the doors and went fractional about 2 years ago....
G-man...

Reynolds Aluminum was bought by Alcoa which is what led to the flight department closure. Dominion Resources (utility conglomerent) bought the hangar to house their GIV and Hawker 800XP.

Philip Morris presently only has their Doriner DO-328JET based at RIC, all other aircraft are based at HPN and MKE. The fate of the 328 is up in the air, as all of the Philip Morris USA (tobacco side of the Altria house) employees are being relocated from NYC to Richmond. The main reason for the 328 was to run a twice daily shuttle between RIC & TEB. With the company now totally based in RIC, the reason for the shuttle becomes very shaky.

PMVULB AvMgr,

Do you know if they are going to move the flight department to be based out of RIC? If so, when and what a/c?

In my opinion the flight department will not close down in RIC, however the aircraft based there might change to more closely reflect the missions needed by local management. Moving a CL-604 back there wouldn't surprise me, as there used to be one there prior to the DO-328JET coming on board.

PM IN KHPN

So what is the status of the PM dept. in KHPN?
