Is that why the C-5 unit turned me down without evening talking to me?

Is that a Southern thing, "evening talking?" :D Eh, I know you didn't want to fly a C-5 anyway. Especially in MA. You wouldn't get to see any UGA games there. You just had to go to the Dark Side, didn't you? I guess it's back to Altus for you. Don't forget to wave to the tankers when you're taxiing by in air-conditioned luxuriousness.

I still remember the 55 ARS CC's question the next morning, "Who called the Wing CC and asked him if he was using his air conditioner?"
I still tell that story. Gets a laugh every time. The past 2 Wing Kings were a little more "crew friendly" about getting the AC on in the dorms in a more timely matter, but it was still silly.
By the way, the Guard rocks.

Peace,
DP

DP,

I'll always consider myself a tanker guy first (no matter what I fly). Never forget where you come from, and the folks who helped you along the way. I'm guessing you'll have the ultimate Reserve/SWA gig living in PHX. Congrats!

I hope to tell the "no AC / C-5 engine run" story at SWA if ever given the chance. Hopefully, we'll fly together again. I'd LUV to be your FO.

Hey, it wasn't the Westover C-5s that gave me the Heisman, but rather Dover. It's all good. Like you said, makes watching my Dawgs much easier.

Yahtz

P.S. Our Ops Group CC is a Tenn grad. When he backed his govt car out of the parking lot on Tues am, he noticed a nice Georgia "G" sticker placed in the rear window by an anonymous fan. He was a good sport about it and decided to leave the sticker on the car for a week.
