How many years must a new hire regional pilot work before
being eligible for retirement benefits? How many years until
vested??

Heh... depends entirely on the regional, if they even have any kind of retirement plan.

My company's "retirement plan" is an Employee Stock program, and you're eligible (20% vested) after your third full year of service. Theoretically, if we ever go public, the stock will be worth a lot. At present, the stock is currently worth slightly less than the 12-pack of Charmin I just bought.
