Just curious how Captains, f.O's and F.A.'s deal with their orphaned 401(k) plans when they separate from service at one airline and get on with another...do they put it with the new carrier or in their own IRA... and is it a big deal for them? My day job involves working with retirement plans and have only recently become aware of the fact that many airline personel leave it at the old carrier...and I am wondering why.
