restaurants,etc near Opa Locka KOPF

hey guys!I will be flying into KOPF Opa Locka in my friend's dads airplane in a few days....any restaurants in the close vicinity you recommend?We will be there one night.thanks!

It has been a while since I was down there, but Shula's over in Miami Lakes (just SW of the airport) is good but pricey. There are various places in strip malls in that area. For the true local flavor, there are lots of small places that do good Cuban chicken.

Ahhh, the cocaine triangle!!! KOPF I was there for about 3 weeks last year what memories I have of the area, Dam! Horrible trip & flight school it was. Go find a place that sells Cuban sandwiches they are yummy & was the best part of my trip.

Mario the baker on west dixie hwy. Best pizza on the planet. Beer on tap. It's gooooooood.

There are two Shula's. One at the hotel and one at the golf course. One at golf was the original, is expensive, good, and more formal. The one at the hotel is more like upscale sports bar/

On the way to these is Beverly Hills cafe. Good but noisy.

At the SE corner of the airport is a place called Crabby's. Different and more family style. Great food.
