gutshotdraw what if the captain answers the phone and the FO doesn't?
 
Let me ask it another way. If you are on days off (the second of your of your hard days) by what time do you have to call them to see if you are working or off tommorrow? If working the next day what time could they have you show

If you don't get a brief by 1900 local you have to call them. No big deal. They could have you show at 0001 local, but the earliest shows are generally around 0500 local. Of course, you can always call them in the early afternoon when they get the next day schedule set. BTW, any time before 0800 on day one is overtime, and time after 9 hrs on day one is too. My OT and vacation pay is about 15% of my base, and I don't think that will change any time soo, or at least until they fire Shuey.
