Maybe i should clarify....My opinion of Skywest...Pretty darn good operation. I know you are treated better than most. Good company with good people. However, I think the pilot group should join ALPA to help ALL pilots work together on their collective bargaining agreements. When we wanted to do a UA express pilot conference on holding the contract bar at least steady and stop the whipsawing, it was very difficult to get a collective bargaining entity besides the chief pilot to communicate through. ALPA has a lot of problems, but so does not having a union at all when your management does monkey business. You guys maybe replaced by go-jet the next time your contract with UAL comes up. I respect you guys in most aspects except for the common 50-70 seat pay rate. Flame away.........My real beef is with this go-jet. Anyone who does not realize that this has a long time impact on our careers is pretty ignorant and has a very short memory of freedom and the effect of mesa's subpar contract. I have worked at two companies now where the mesa contract was thrown on the table by management in opening negotiations. Please bring back integrity into this industry and lets all pitch in to stop this from happening.....Or else you will get the TSA or go-jet contract thrown at you in the next negotiation. I'll put my fire helmet on now for the flames.

Please enlighten me withe the first question below...

1. What were the specifics of Freedom Air, what happened?

2. I don't see any other way for TSA owner, Hulas, to fly >50 seaters other than to start a new company entirely like he is doing with GoJets. If he doesn't do it, then someone else will....it's as simple as that! This isn't about going around the union, it's about getting around AA Scope!

This is also my position exactly, I also enjoyed the post about TSA pilots hopping Eagle's Jets, don't remember a jumpseat blacklist drive over that one, sorry fellas I aint buying what you're selling....... yet. You need to make a far more persuasive case and you need to do it through LEGAL means, you think it's a worthwhile fight I'll be hopping down to STL to walk the line with you, otherwise I'm going to closely watch GoJet's evolution and Unionization and I'll flip 'em a resume when I feel it's a square deal.
