Couple of questions for those familiar with the Republic hiring process.

I work at another regional.. I am moving to DEN in 3 months and am considering a jump to RAH with the new DEN crew base and had a couple of questions.

Do you know what airframe you are getting prior to starting class.. for me this is kind of a DEN or nothing deal, so I would want to be sure I am at least getting on the 170(I know, ATP mins required).

Also is DEN expected to continue to be fairly junior for FO's?? I've read several people got it initially in a recent new hire class.

So, in short, could I be guaranteed the right airframe to have a shot at DEN before starting, and if so what is the likelihood of holding DEN.

thanks,cale

You find out which certificate you're going to (and which airplane type) before training. Keep in mind that Republic is the only one with the DEN base, so if you get Shuttle, you won't have a shot at DEN. Republic seems to be getting most of the 170 new hires these days, don't know how junior DEN is going.

your chances of Republic are good and getting DEN once inclass for Rep is even better. Never say never, but at this time I'd bet you'll wind up a Rep FO in DEN with no problem.

confirm while you have them on the phone, but I believe they all you to bypass a class or two to wait for the certificate you want.

There was 21 in our class and one guy got DEN. I think only 3 or 4 people bid for it though. Everyone else got DCA or PIT as there base. You should be able to get DEN in a couple of months if not right out of training. Great company to work for as far as regionals go. Any ? PM me.

It's possible to do, although not really recommended.

Great info guys.. thanks for the help..

So I want to be on the Republic certificate on the 170(is that all that Republic flies?)

And there is a possibility to bypass a class or two to wait for what I want(I have the advantage that I'm currently at a 121 carrier that I don't love but don't hate.. so I'll take the risk to bypass and hope they allow it).

I will hit my 1500 hours this week.. may be time to send in a resume..

170/175 is all the Republic cert flies - send it in now, you could get lucky right off the bat, or at least placed in line for the class you want, assuming you're close to ATP mins.
