A few turboprop operators' pilots make more than rah pilots...flying an airplane half the size.
The only domestic turboprop operator with CA payrates higher than RAH on any airframe is Horizon; their Q400 CA rates are higher than RAH E135/140/145 & E170 CA rates...from their 2003 contract. The E170 and the Q400 have a similar amount of seats, so that's really a wash.
All 30-50 seat turboprop CA operators pay lower hourly rates than CHQ's E135 CA pay...from their 2003 contract.
Talking FOs makes your point a little less ridiculous; Horizon Q400 outearn RAH FOs in every year of longevity, with Piedmont higher the first year & at parity the second year, trailing every year thereafter. Mesaba FOs also make more in their probationary year than RAH pilots.
Of course workrules can play a major role in total compensation...but comparing pilots with the same longevity, the only turboprop pilots that make more than RAH pilots (who are working under a 7 year old contract) flying an airplane "half the size" of RAH pilots are Mesaba & Piedmont FOs on probation.
