Yesterday U/MDA said that they will close the PIT and DCA crew bases at the end of JAN06. The remainder of MDA flying to be done out of PHL.

We will be closing our current crashpad in DC at the end of JAN as well but if someone or more want to take it over then PM me. Several of us will be remaining in DC with Republic (myself until I can get to PHL). Right now I have limited internet access (for the next several weeks) so this won't happen fast. More than likely we will get a feel for the demand for the pad to continue then make solid plans shortly after x-mas.

The crashpad is located in Crystal City/Arlington about 2.5 blocks from the current US Air HQ building. The building is very nice (non of use could afford to live there on our own) and the apartment is 2 br, very large living room and dining area and a balcony that looks twards the airport. The bedrooms have no beds we use airmattresses so you can always find somewhere to sleep. I've been in this pad since Feb05 and can say it very nice and we all get along well. There is highspeed access with a computer and basic cable and nice TV. The current crashpad runner owns the computer and TV but is willing to negociate $$ to leave them there. After paying this stuff the pad will run about 170-200 depending on the amount of people (about 12-14).

Like I said just prelim plans but let me know and I'll keep you updated.
