All three of Republic's carriers - Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America - expect to add Flight Attendants thanks to the company's strong partnerships with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, US Airways, and beginning in 2007, Continental Airlines. Chautauqua Airlines has a crew base of flight attendants at Louisville International Airport, from which it operates 19 flights per day as Delta Connection, United Express and US Airways Express. The company's existing workforce of approximately 1100 flight attendants is expected to grow to 1400 by early 2007, and a series of flight attendant training classes are scheduled for the next four months to accommodate the expansion. Republic Airways recently held recruiting sessions in Greensboro, North Carolina where 325 flight attendant candidates participated in the recruiting sessions.
"The regional airline industry continues to generate the bulk of the growth and jobs in aviation, and as we lead the sector in expanding and flying even larger jets, we are excited about the future of the airline and the opportunities for our employees," said Republic CEO Bryan Bedford. "We have an outstanding group of flight attendants based in Louisville, and we want to tap the region's long affiliation with aviation and find new employees interested in joining our company and participate in our expansion."
"The community's decision to expand our airport continues to pay dividends, as evidenced by Chautauqua's job fair and recruitment of 400 employees," said Mayor Jerry Abramson. "Louisville's aviation industry continues to grow because of the growing airport and related services."
Open house recruiting sessions will be held Tuesday, October 3rd beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Chautauqua Airlines maintenance facility located at 5101 Crittenden Drive exactly one mile south of the Watterson Expressway in Louisville, Kentucky. Please note the doors to all recruiting sessions will close promptly at the beginning of the session. For more detailed information on the job fair and to complete an online application candidates should visit the company's website at www.republicairways.com.
Candidates should bring a resume and driver's license or some other form of government identification. The employment package includes paid training, generous health insurance and related benefits, as well as travel benefits. For more information, candidates can visit the company's web site at www.republicairways.com
The three Republic-owned airlines operate a series of flight attendant crew bases at Indianapolis, Louisville, Buffalo Greensboro, St. Louis, New York LaGuardia, Columbus, Richmond, Chicago O'Hare, Washington Reagan National Airport, Pittsburgh, and Orlando. New hire flight attendants must be willing to relocate initially to any of these bases, but if eligible, can bid for openings at a preferred base. The company works with flight attendants to help them secure their preferred base as quickly as possible.
Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, is the airline holding company for the three carriers, and offers scheduled passenger service on more than 1,000 flights daily to 90 cities in 35 states, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas through airline services agreements with major airline partners. The airlines currently employ more than 3,400 aviation professionals and operate 168 regional jets including 73 E170 aircraft.

I have a question? If you get hired with one company within republic airways holdings, how long is it before you can switch companies. Case in point, i know someone who was just hired on for shuttle america, but was hoping to get chautauqua. She is hoping to get on at chautauqua to get SDF as a domicile. I know with pilots you can only switch companies when it is time to upgrade. I have no idea how the flight attendant thing is. Also, how would a commute from SDF to ORD be for a flight attendant at Shuttle. Thx

Wow, the one post opinion. Thanks for that! You need not apply either, you would'nt fit in....

If it sucked here I would gladly say so...

Great people and fun overnights!
