Hello all,

I'm looking at a couple regionals and was curious what is entailed in the training contract...If, for instance, a new pilot doesn't like the airline during that first year, another opportunity came up, whatever, how does one leave the contract? Is the training agreement pro-rated if the pilot leaves before 1 year? Does the airline always "come after" the pilot for the remainder?

If heard miscellaneous things over time about contracts and was curious. Thanks a lot and look forward to the replies. Fly safe!

You could just go to a regional without a training contract and not worry about it.

Great Idea! Other than CommutAir, what are the regionals that DON'T require a training contract?

I am of the belief that an individual should at least give an employer one year of service before moving on, unless certain circumstances exist. I am also sure that it looks poorly on a resume to jump around from carrier to carrier.

Piedmont has no contract either, and you get paid your full guarantee with per diem
