Check the AP wire soon for great news for SoCal!

Are we talkin' the new service to San Diego from SFO? Can you give us a little more info? JetBlue's new service to LAX is old news by now...

New route connections from BUR, LGB, SAN and SJC in addition to LAX to BOS and JFK.

hear that? it's the sound of no one giving a sh1t.

I think anyone who flys alot of trans con stuff from NY to LA gives a sh!t. In short, the CEOs at the legacies collectively hung their heads today and said something to the effect of "not NY to LA."

Let's face it, international ops pays for domestic at the legacies. And it's only getting worse for them.

Do you really believe that news was great news for "SoCal" or just ok news for B6? I don't see why all the excitement. What's the big deal? Are you guys going to save SoCal by flying a few flights out of a gate tight LAX?

Redwood is an interesting animal.... the love-child of Branson's ego mated to more of Branson's ego.

Obviously, none of us have anything even approaching real stability in this industry (I mean, just look around, it's sick). When I hear the Redwood call sign on the radio I wonder what it would be like career-wise to hook your wagon to Branson.

On the up-side, the business can lose a metric sh!t-load of cash day by day, year by year and it just won't matter because he already owns just about every Pound/Euro/Dollar ever printed. As long as his ego remains engaged (in the endeavor) the cost of it is no object. This could provide a comfortable ride for all involved for a long time.

The down-side is obvious, if he loses interest, if the whole exercise ceases to feed his ego or doesn't feed it enough, what happens then?

No tanker.......the CEO's said more flights??

This route has been competetive since deregulation....not everybody is exposed as much as Jetblue on that route. Yields haven't been that good for 20 years, it just a lot of volume.

And despite his wealth he pays his whore-like employees garbage.

Yes we are. Plans currently underway to eliminate earthquakes, immigration, smog, Saabs, Berkely. I believe Neeleman's new tag line is "An In-N-Out Burger in Every Pot."
