1. Do they mail you the manuals before you go to SLC?

2. When do they contact you with hotel info / class info? I've was assigned a ground school date but haven't received any calls/mailings.

3. How soon do benefits (insurance mainly), start? I'm guessing w/ the pay.

4. How soon do flight benfits for family start on SkyW?

Have they given you your aircraft type yet? EM2 or CRJ? Good job.

1. They sent me a 6 or so page set of limitations and emergency procedures, I got mine with my hotel info and etc.. forget how far before class I got it.

2. see above.. double occupancy, usually at the candlewood suites on north temple street very near the airport. If so you have a fridge, microwave, range, vcr and a few dishes in the room, can check out videos from the front desk for free and they have a little store near the front desk that you can use your room key to get into and buy food on the honor system.

3. I forget if it was 3 or 6 months..

4. 6 months after hire for offline, not sure how soon for online..

...Medical benefits start 3 months after your hire date, on the first of the month. If you start 15 June, you'll have med/dental 01 October. Look into COBRA in the interim if it's a concern.


I was also given a class date (after I e-mailed Camielle and asked if I had one) but did not receive the welcome aboard packets, etc. like everyone else. If it's two weeks to class and you don't have it yet, call the training folks and remind them. Don't forget your SSN card, it seemed lots of people had to send off for a new one, because honestly, it's an easy thing to misplace and who carries the **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** thing around?
